An Afghan refugee, who was arrested for the possession of explosive materials in January this year, could be involved in the murder of a 71-year-old Greek man as well.
On the 28th of January, the Afghan refugee was arrested for the possession of detonators and numerous gas canisters. The Greek anti-terror unit was mobilised to hold and question the man in the central police headquarters of Athens.
During this research, the police discovered that the Afghan’s DNA was found on a shotgun used in a murder of a 71-year-old Greek man near Athens. The elderly man was found murdered inside his house. The motive of the murder is uncertain but is thought to be armed robbery.
At the time of his arrest, the official Greek antifa webpage “Indymedia Athens” declared support to their “comrade”. A rather strange move, because the man possessed explosives and is now even suspected of murder.
